The Whidbey community is invited to join Rabbi Ted Falcon at the Whidbey Institute for a unique Rosh Hashanah observance. A student of meditation and Kabbalah for over 40 years, Rabbi Ted’s services will focus not on liturgy but on chant, teaching, and meditation. With the musical support of Stephen Merritt and Jenny Heutmaker, the deeper spiritual dimensions of the Holy Days will form the heart of these gatherings.
Known for his humor and warmth as well as his wisdom, Rabbi Ted is the founder of meditative synagogues in Los Angeles and Seattle. He is co-author with David Blatner of Judaism For Dummies and author of A Journey of Awakening: Kabbalistic Meditations on the Tree of Life. As part of the Interfaith Amigos, he explores the frontiers of interfaith spirituality. Their new book, Religion Gone Astray: What We Found at the Heart of Interfaith, is being published in October.
Rosh Hashanah with Rabbi Ted Falcon at The Whidbey Institute is Wednesday, September 28, 7:30 pm, and Thursday, September 29, 10:30 am. Program fee, which includes Thursday lunch, is $85 per person. Details and registration information on RabbiTedFalcon.com or email RabbiTedFalcon@gmail.com.
