Community Member earns certification from JFGS

Ben Zoma said: “Who is wise? –The one who learns from every person, as it is said: From all my teachers have I acquired wisdom.” (Psalms 119:99)

WIJC is pleased to announce that community member Miriam Coates has completed the Jewish Teacher Certification program through the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle. She is being awarded with a Jewish Teaching Certificate this month.

About the program:

The goal of Education Services at the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle is to prepare high quality, skilled professional educators who will serve the greater Seattle Jewish community.

The Jewish Teaching Certification offers Jewish teachers the opportunity to earn a teaching certification in recognition of 100 hours of learning in various core competency areas. These include pedagogy, Jewish studies and Hebrew.

Miriam wishes to extend her gratitude to the JFGS and Liat Zaidenberg (director of Education Services) for their support of Jewish education.
