Fair Trade Judaica Fair, Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle
May 23 • 5:30-8pm • Stroum Jewish Community Center
Join us for this unique Fair Trade Judaica Fair, featuring over 50 products from Africa, Asia, and Latin/South America. This will be the largest gathering of all the Fair Trade Judaica products currently available in the marketplace, including: kippot, tallitot, home decorations, cards, tzedakah boxes, Chanukah menorahs, lots of fair trade chocolate, and more! Congregation Beth Shalom
May 6 • 1:30-3:30pm • Seward Park Home
You are invited to join us at the Seward Park home of Beth Shalom members and backyard chicken farmers. Rabbi Avi Rosenfeld, a trained shochet, kosher butcher, will teach and demonstrate what is involved in ensuring the kosher slaughter of chickens. Register by May 2. $15/member, $20/non-member. Scholarships available.
