29 Av 5772
This week’s parsha is Re’eh (Deuteronomy 11:26-16:17), which is translated as “see” and laid out in seven sections (aliyot). In Re’eh, Moses lays down the laws for the Jewish people, explaining regulations for farming, worship, tithing, and Jewish living, noting the difference between the sacred and profane, obligations and desires.
