Rutgers University offers free online, no-credit classes in Jewish subjects


With fall and the start of school just around the corner, this is a great season to consider continuing your education or taking part in a lifelong learning opportunity. Rutgers Univeristy offers  Jewish Studies Online, a program of the Allen and Joan Bildner Center for the Study of Jewish Life in which you can take Jewish themed classes with university  Jewish studies faculty without receiving credit units.

Courses available (for free) this fall inlude:

The Bible and History, taught by Professor Gary A. Rendsburg

The History of Zionism, taught by Professor Roni Stauber

Israeli Political System, taught by Professor Yaacov Yadgar

Jews Under Islam, taught by Professor Mark R. Cohen

-Introduction to Rabbinical Literature, taught by Professor Azzan Yadin
