Join Kolenu and the Seattle Jewish community for Pride Shabbat 2013!
Each year Pride Shabbat takes place during Seattle’s Pride month, and rotates to different establishments who have a reputation of being open and inclusive spaces for all people. This year’s event will be hosted by Hillel at the University of Washington.
Doors open at 6 PM and light snacks will be served. A short Shabbat service will follow at 6:30 PM featuring music, guest speakers and more! Immediately after, everyone is invited to stay for a festive “oneg” featuring light dinner fare and desserts.
Pride Shabbat is open to the community and is a celebration of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Questioning Jews, friends, allies and families. An ASL interpreter will be available for the evening.
Community Sponsors: Bashert: The Jewish Federation of Seattle’s LGBTQ Initiative, Congregation Tikvah Chadashah, Kolenu, Jewish Family Service, Temple Bnai Torah, Jconnect Seattle, Hillel UW, Seattle Gay News, and Temple Beth Am.
