The Jewish Federation of Greater seattle invites you to a community conversation. The event is scheduled for Sunday, July 14, beginning 6:30 pm, at Town Hall Seattle, on the corner of 8th and Seneca.
The conversation will begin with introductory remarks by University of Washington Professor Emeritus Rene H. Levy, entitled “The Jewish Peoplehood Crisis: A Call for Conversation.” Dr. Levy will draw his opening remarks from his book, Baseless Hatred: What It Is and What You Can Do About It.Joel Benoliel will moderate the conversation.
The goal of the free event is to bring the community together to discuss the following topics:
* Our mutual responsibility to each other and reconnecting to all Jews
* Teaching the younger generation peoplehood allegiance based on an understanding of our shared mission and our purpose as a people
* Developing empathy, to self-transform and to impact our relationships with family, friends and co-workers
