Hava Nagila (The Movie)
The community is invited to a special screening August 18 of Hava Nagila (The Movie), a hilarious, informative and evocative romp that tells the story of the quintessential party song as it has been heard and danced to from European shtetls to American suburbs.
The Stroum Jewish Community Center’s Seattle Jewish Film Festival will screen Hava Nagila (The Movie) as part of the SJFF Best of Fest series. Screening will take place at Seattle Jewish Community School at 6 pm August 18 as part of an End of Summer, Back to School Community Celebration that Jewish Junction is putting on for families of all ages.
Join us to watch this spirited documentary featuring interviews with Harry Belafonte, Leonard Nimoy, Connie Francis and more.
Tickets are $5 (kids 6 and under admitted free). Kosher nosh and popcorn included.
SJFF’s Best of Fest series is sponsored by the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle. Funding for Whidbey Island Jewish Community was made possible, in part, by a grant from the Special Initiatives Fund of the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle. JFGS rocks!
