Shabbat Shalom

19th Kislev 5774

Candle lighting times for the South End: Shabbat is at 4:08, havdalah is on Saturday at 5:15.

This week’s parsha is Vayeshev, translated from Hebrew as “and he lived” and covering  Genesis 37:1- 40:23. In this parsha we learn about Jacob’s life, including the tale of his coat of many colors (כְּתֹנֶת פַּסִּים, ketonet pasim), the betrayal from his brothers, and his dream.

There are no commandments (negative or positive) in this parshat.
