During confirmation hearings United States Supreme Court Judge Elena Kagan answered senator Lindsey Graham’s query about her Christmas eve whereabouts, “You know, like all Jews, I was probably at a Chinese restaurant”.
You are invited to spend Erev Christmas (Christmas Eve) in community, observing the Jewish tradition of Chinese food and a movie. This year, the no-host dinner will be held at China City in Freeland at 5:30 followed by a 7:30 showing of the Hunger Games: Catching Fire at the Clyde Theater in Langley.
Erev Christmas is a busy night; WIJC reserves a banquet room for this event. If you plan to attend, please RSVP so that a dinner reservation can be made. Just let us know how many in your party in the comments section or post a message to WIJC’s Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/WhidbeyIslandJewishCommunity
Funding for Whidbey Island Jewish Community was made possible, in part, by a grant from the Special Initiatives Fund of the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle.
