Shabbat Shalom, 9 Iyyar 5774, 24th day of the Omer

Behar (Hebrew for ” on the mound”) is this week’s parsha, covering Leviticus 25:1-26:2. Behar  is a favorite for Jewish environmentalists, hippies, and sustainable agriculture fans as it explains the details of the agricultural laws related to Jubillee and Shmita. There are 7 positive and 17 negative commandments in Behar.
